In this, the standards of Floor Area Ratio (FAR) will be made simple and clear. This will facilitate investors in making maximum use of land. By incorporating appropriate suggestions, the Housing and Urban Planning Department will place the proposal of the bye-law before the Cabinet.
It is believed that the by-law will be implemented as soon as it gets approval from the cabinet next month. To enable more construction in less space, land coverage and FAR (floor area ratio) are being increased while the setback will be reduced.
Through the Building Construction and Development Bye-laws-2025, the government is going to provide all kinds of facilities to the plot owners regarding building construction. Objections and suggestions are being sought on the bye-law before implementing it.
Any person can give suggestions in writing to the Chief Town and Village Planner within 15 days. To overcome the problems caused by different rules of various industrial development authorities, the government is going to prepare a unified building construction rule.
