During the Kanpur Development Authority’s 142nd board meeting on Wednesday, Divisional Commissioner K Vijayendra Pandian stated that the agency intends to release tenders for various projects.
A plan is now being developed to build two highways of eight lengths each at a cost of Rs. 40 crores to connect the region covered by the New Kanpur City Scheme from Meenavati Marg to Ganga Barrage Meenavati Road to Singhpur.

The Chairman of the Kanpur Development Authority and Divisional Commissioner Board has stated that in order to alleviate traffic congestion, Bithoor will be developed as a tourism destination, as well as the Botanical Garden.Industry will also be supported.
The Knowledge Park in Naramau, the Medicity Park in Bhimsen, and the MSME Park near IIT will all be considerably developed. Under this plan, a riverfront will be developed from Ganga Barrage to Jajmau.
During this time, Rs. 400 crores would be spent to beautify an 11.5 km riverfront along the Patna line. The Divisional Commissioner added that the Kanpur Development Authority had set aside Rs. 14 billion from its budget for development projects.
