UP: Land valued at crores is seized, 53 bighas are targeted by the state

When the district government confiscated 53 bighas of land registered in the name of the family of former MP and senior Samajwadi Party leader Ramakant Yadav, it caused a disturbance in the hamlet of Basahi Ashrafpur, which is located in the Phulpur tehsil of the Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh.

District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar II gave the order for this action to be taken. It has been anticipated that the land will cost approximately Rs 26 crore 32 lakh in total. Tehsildar Kamal Kumar Singh and Rural Superintendent of Police Chirag Jain spearheaded the entire operation.

The land was identified as having been obtained illegally. All legal requirements were fulfilled during the attaching process.There were six pieces of land in all that was being seized. A large crowd of locals gathered in the village after the government pounded a drum to notify this.

Deputy Tehsildar Rajaram, Kotwal Sachchidanand, SHO Pradeep Mishra, Amit Mishra, Sudhir Singh, Sonu Giri, Nagendra Tiwari, Gajendra Singh, and Shailesh Yadav were among the several police and administrative officials in attendance on this particular occasion.

In-charges and officers from numerous neighboring police station regions were on the scene to uphold law and order. Teams from the Phulpur, Pawai, Atrauliya, and Ahraula police stations were among them. The attachment procedure was carried out under close police monitoring.
