Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, the Railways has started a weekly special train service from Mumbai to Jaunpur and Chhapra. This train service will continue till May 27 and its ticket booking has already started.
An important step has been taken by the Railway Ministry in view of the rush of passengers during the summer holidays. Now a special train is being run from Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Chhapra, which will pass through major stations like Jaunpur, Ballia and Ghazipur.
This special summer train will run once a week, which will provide great relief to passengers coming from far-flung areas.According to Public Relations Officer of Varanasi Division, Ashok Kumar, train number:- 01029 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) every Sunday at 10:55 am.
This train will reach Jaunpur via Kalyan, Nashik Road, Itarsi, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Varanasi, where it will arrive at 8:35 am the next day. After this, it will reach Chhapra at 1:15 pm via Ghazipur City and Ballia.
The return journey of this train will also be operated once a week. Train number:- 01030 will leave Chhapra every Tuesday at 7:00 am. It will reach Jaunpur via Ballia and Ghazipur City, where its time has been fixed at 11:45 am.
It will reach Varanasi at 1:30 pm on the same day and then via Prayagraj Chheoki, Satna, Jabalpur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Nashik Road, and Kalyan Junction, it will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 8:00 am on the third day.
A total of 20 coaches have been installed in this weekly summer train, which includes:-
a) 08 coaches are of Air-conditioned Second Tier (AC 2-Tier)
b) 10 coaches are of Air-conditioned Third Tier (AC 3-Tier)
c) 02 Generator cum Luggage Vehicles included
This special train will not only strengthen the connectivity between Mumbai and Purvanchal but will also provide relief to the passengers during heavy rush during festivals and summer vacations.
This will greatly benefit migrant travellers especially from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who are living in Mumbai for work and want to return home in the summer.This step of the Railways is a commendable effort for the convenience of passengers.
Passengers have been appealed to book their tickets on time and follow the rules during the journey.People are appreciating this facility being provided by the Railways, and it is expected that such special trains will continue to be operated as per the need.
