UP: New bus station will be built, lakhs of peoples get benefits

The Transport Department is planning to build a new bus station in Mankapur, Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aims to streamline regional traffic and provide better facilities to passengers.

Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is working on a plan to build new bus stations and bus depots across the state. Under this plan, a new bus station will also be established in Mankapur, which will increase the convenience of regional transport.

The Managing Director of the Transport Corporation has directed the regional officers to prepare proposals for building new bus stations or depots in their respective areas.After considering these proposals, new bus stations and depots will be built.

A bus station will soon be built in Gonda Nagar Panchayat Mankapur. This will also increase the bus traffic on the Mankapur-Babhanan route.Buses will also run from this route to Gorakhpur. This will provide convenience in transportation to the people of Maskanwan, Chhapia and Babhanan areas including Mankapur.

Gonda MP and Union Minister of State Kirti Vardhan Singh has begun lobbying with the government for the establishment of a bus station.Gonda MP Kirtivardhan Singh’s representative Kamlesh Pandey said that the RM office located near Sadbhavna police post in Devipatan area and the regional workshop in Bahraich will be shifted from there and established in Gonda.

For this also the Union Minister of State has sent a letter to the government. After the bus station is built in Mankapur, buses will be started to operate from this route to Gorakhpur.Till now only one bus operates from Gonda to Gorakhpur via Wazirganj, Nawabganj, Shivdayalganj Katra via Basti.

After the construction of a bus station in Mankapur, buses will also start operating from this route to Gorakhpur.So that passengers do not face any difficulty in reaching there. A minimum of 40% area for the bus terminal will be reserved for commercial properties.

While 60% space will be earmarked for facilities like bus parking, garage and parking.A time period of 2 years has been set to complete this project. This initiative will help in making the bus stations self-reliant along with providing a better experience to the passengers.

Population movement will be easy

The construction of a new bus station in Mankapur will improve regional traffic and passengers will get better facilities. This initiative is an important step towards modernizing the state government’s transport system.Four acres of land has been marked near Baripur Ramnath and Peelkhana in Mankapur.

As soon as the government’s approval is received, the land will be acquired and a bus station will be constructed here. This will facilitate the movement of the 10 lakh population of the area.Regional manager of Roadways Arvind Kumar said that the construction of the bus station will be started as soon as approval is received.

Six Roadways buses operate on this route from Gonda every day.Of these, one bus each is being run daily for Maskanwan 2, Babhanan, Chandradeepghat and Gaurachauki. The biggest stoppage between Gonda bus station and Babhanan is Mankapur.The population here is approximately 10 lakh. There is also an ITI.

About five thousand people travel by roadways buses from Mankapur every day.But when the buses stop here, there is neither seating facility for the passengers nor drinking water etc. In view of this, the Union Minister of State has started lobbying by sending a letter to the government to build a bus station in Mankapur.

The government is taking important steps towards the modernization of various bus stations in the state. The aim of this initiative is to provide better facilities to the passengers and make the bus stations self-reliant.

Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has planned to equip 54 bus stations with airport-like facilities.Facilities like guest house, dormitory, parking, restaurant, toilet, food court and commercial office will be provided in these stations. Apart from this, 18 meter wide approach road will be arranged.
