Keeping in mind the summer holidays and the rush of passengers, the Railways has decided to run 2 new special trains for the convenience of passengers. These trains will connect North India to South and East India, making long distance travel easier.
Keeping in mind the ever-increasing number of passengers during the summer season, the Railway Administration has announced the operation of 2 new special trains to provide convenience to the passengers.
This step will be especially beneficial for those who are planning to travel long distances during the holidays.Ragini Singh, Senior Public Relations Officer (PRO) of North Central Railway, said that one of these special trains will run from Kanpur Central to Bengaluru, a major metropolis of South India, and the other will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus of Mumbai to Saharsa in Bihar.
These trains will be operated for limited trips so that there is no shortage of facilities for passengers during the holiday season.The PRO said that both the trains will be operated from Prayagraj and Chheoki route and keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, stoppage of trains has also been ensured at both these places.
Railways has clarified that these trains will be fully reserved and the number of seats in them has also been specially increased so that more and more passengers get the opportunity to travel.For the convenience of passengers, modern sleeper coaches, air-conditioned third AC and second AC coaches have also been installed in these trains.
Train No.: 04131/04132 Kanpur Central-SMVB Bengaluru Weekly Special train will run from Kanpur every Sunday from 27 April to 1 June. In the return journey, this train will run from Bengaluru every Wednesday from 30 April to 4 June.This train will have a total of 19 coaches, which include eight sleeper class, two third AC, one second AC, six general class coaches and two SLR (guard coaches).
The train will leave Kanpur Central at 7.50 pm and reach Prayagraj at 10.35 pm, from where it will reach SMVB station in Bengaluru at 6.30 pm the next day.This train will leave from Bengaluru at 7.10 am and will reach Prayagraj at 11.20 pm the next day and will terminate at Kanpur Central station at 2 am.
Similarly, another special ‘one way’ train will also be operated from train number:- 01019 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) to Saharsa. This train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai at 10:30 am on 27 April 2025 and will reach Saharsa station in Bihar at 2:15 am on 29 April.
A total of 22 coaches will be installed in this special train, so that the crowd can be accommodated easily. On the way, it will have a major halt at Prayagraj Chheoki station on April 28 at 10:40 am, from where passengers will be allowed to board and disembark.
This effort of the Railways will help in controlling the heavy rush during the summer season and will also provide relief to the people from problems like not getting tickets at the last moment.
Running of special trains will provide great convenience especially to students, migrant workers and family members returning home during holidays. Railways has appealed to the passengers to book their journey in advance and ensure their journey.
