Big change in Dalmandi for Kashi Corridor

The narrow lanes of Dalmandi market will be widened from 8 feet to 23 feet, due to which the 1.5 km long road will become 17 meters wide. This will make it easier to reach Kashi Vishwanath temple and will also reduce traffic problems.

The Municipal Corporation has completed the survey and measurement work for this scheme.After this, notices will be issued to the shopkeepers and after the stipulated time limit, the process of removing encroachment will be started.

After the search for a new route to reach Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor ended, the PWD has now sought Rs 194 crore from the government for compensation of 184 buildings and lands of Dal Mandi.

A proposal for this has been made and sent to the government two days ago. It is believed that the government will take a decision on this within a week.

At the same time, people of a particular community are seen continuously protesting against the demolition of houses and shops in Dal Mandi.

To fight a legal battle against this plan of the government, the people of Dal Mandi have started brainstorming on this with the team of Association for Protection of Civil Rights.

The PWD has completed the survey of 184 buildings and lands and has sought Rs 194 crore from the government for compensation. The estimated proposal has been sent and the detailed report will be sent by this evening.

On this action, the PCR team has met Allahabad High Court’s senior advocate Syed Farman Hussain Naqvi Sahib in the Dal Mandi widening and demolition case. Mohammad Yasin, representing the Muslim community, says that Banaras’ Dal Mandi is a big and famous market.
