On Tuesday, the Lalganj block office auditorium hosted a significant area panchayat meeting. The person in charge of the meeting was Block Pramukh Jayant Kumar. Approximately Rs 7 crore worth of development projects were accepted during this conference, which also covered a number of significant proposals for the improvement of communities and surrounding areas.
About Rs 7 crore of these projects would be funded by the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA), with the remaining Rs 3 crore coming from the local panchayat budget.
Numerous public representatives also voiced their concerns and recommendations throughout the meeting. Some members voiced their dissatisfaction over the fact that the prior pledge of a two-hour water supply has not yet been met. This topic was discussed extensively.
The ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ was questioned by Vishnu Singh, a member of the District Panchayat. He claimed that people in many communities are not receiving enough water and that work is done purely for show.
Regarding this, Junior Engineer Pradeep Kumar reported that although work is ongoing in 225 villages under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the water supply has been interrupted in numerous locations due to technical issues.
The meeting also covered the issue of stray cattle. The Block Development Officer issued a clear directive requiring all cow keepers to keep their animals tied. Anybody who disobeys the order will be penalized.
According to Block Education Officer Shailendra Tripathi, children’s regular attendance should be prioritized, and every school will implement a smart class system to allow them to benefit from digital learning. New Anganwadi centers will be established in the villages of Charkhi Kurmiyan and Rampur Wasit Ali, according to CDPO SK Singh.
