Yogi Adityanath’s government in UP has taken several important steps for the development of the railway network. This has improved the transportation facilities in the state and increased its contribution to the overall development of the country.
Modernization of stations, a new beginning for passengers
There is a plan to develop and modernize 157 railway stations in Uttar Pradesh. This includes improving passenger facilities, increasing platform capacity and strengthening security measures. Apart from this, work is also going on on more than 40 railway projects related to Kumbh Mela.
Due to which pilgrims will get a better travel experience. Due to the initiative of the Yogi government, the railway network in Uttar Pradesh is developing rapidly. Due to which the connectivity of the state has improved and the contribution to the overall development of the country has increased.
With these efforts, not only are passengers getting better facilities, but the economy of the state is also getting stronger.Passengers travelling to Jhansi, Gwalior, New Delhi, Mumbai via Lucknow-Unnao-Kanpur were facing a lot of problems. Repair work was going on on the Ganga railway bridge between Unnao-Kanpur.
Due to which 42 mail, passenger, express trains were either cancelled or are being run on other routes. But Northern Railway says that trains are being started from 28 April due to completion of work before time.
Earlier it was planned to start it from 30 April. 11124 Barauni Gwalior Mail will run on its old route from 28 April. Along with this, 14101 Prayagraj Kanpur and 14102 Kanpur Prayagraj Express will run on their old route from 29 April.
14217 Prayagraj to Chandigarh Unchahar Express will run on its old route from 29 April and 14218 Chandigarh to Prayagraj Unchahar Express will run on its old route from 28 April.
Along with this, other cancelled or diverted trains have either been restarted or it has been decided to run them on the old routes.
Steps towards modernisation in the state
Indian Railways has taken several important steps towards modernization of railway stations to provide better and modern facilities to the passengers. These efforts are not only improving the travel experience but also strengthening the image of Indian Railways at the international level.

Lucknow Passenger, 51814 Lucknow Jhansi Passenger, 54101 Prayagraj Anwarganj Passenger, 54102 Anwarganj Prayagraj Passenger have been announced to run again from 29 April.
Apart from this, the operation of 54153 Rae Bareli Kanpur Passenger is being started from 30 April. 54154 Kanpur Rae Bareli Passenger, 54325 Sitapur Kanpur Passenger will be back on track from 29 April and 54326 Kanpur Sitapur Passenger will be back on track from 30 April.
