The citizens who are facing the problem of traffic jam in the city will soon get relief. The bridge under construction from Aliganj to Pyarepur in Kalichabad will be ready by June.The city residents will get this gift in July. The DM had inspected the bridge just two days ago.
Instructions have been given to complete the work on time. So that the bridge becomes operational and people can travel easily. All preparations have been completed. Now there will be no delay in the work. Only the connecting road in the middle of the bridge is left. The remaining work will be completed by June.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced the construction of a bridge over the Gomti river from Kalichabad to Pyarepur near Aliganj in a public meeting during the Malhani by-election. Financial approval of Rs 29.93 crore was provided for this.
The bridge is named after former MP late Raja Yadavendra Dutt Dubey. After some delay in the construction work, the project is now in its final stage.

This also includes the construction of access road and additional road. Twenty percent work is still pending. The construction of the bridge is to be completed by June 2025. The number of labourers has also been increased so that the work can be completed. During the construction of the bridge, the drainage system of the local villages is also being taken care of.
The construction of the bridge will save people’s time and the city residents will not have to face traffic jams. To go from Lucknow to Shahganj and Azamgarh, most of the big vehicles and four-wheelers have to enter the city and go through the Vajidpur intersection.
Due to this, vehicles have to face traffic jam for one to two hours. To get rid of this, a bridge was approved on the Gomti river between Pyarepur and Aliganj by sending a proposal from the administration. The length of the bridge being built from November 2021 is 211.88 meters.
