The UP government has prepared the Master Plan 2041 for the holistic and balanced development of the state. It aims to promote infrastructure, housing, industrial development and environmental conservation in major cities as well as rural areas.
What are the provisions in Greater Noida Phase 2 Master Plan?
The development of new residential areas will meet the housing needs of the growing population. The construction of industrial corridors and logistics hubs will create new employment opportunities. Roads, water supply and other infrastructure will be expanded.
Environmental balance will be maintained through no construction zones and buffer zones. Master Plan 2041 is an important step towards the holistic and balanced development of Uttar Pradesh. This will not only promote urbanisation but will also help in the development of rural areas.
Greater Noida Phase-2 will be connected to four expressways, three national highways and state highways. Flyovers, underpasses and interchanges will be built here. There will be modern transport facilities here including trains, Namo Bharat and metro. Provision has been made for this in Master Plan-2041.
The Uttar Pradesh government has taken many historic decisions in recent years for the overall and balanced development of the state. Among these, Master Plan 2041, formation of Outsource Service Corporation and infrastructure development projects are especially noteworthy.
All these steps have been taken in this direction so that the development of the state is not limited to urban areas only but also reaches the rural areas and all sections of the society benefit from it.
CEO of Greater Noida Development Authority NG Ravi Kumar said that under Master Plan-2041, a blueprint for better transport facilities has been prepared in Greater Noida Phase-2.
The new city will be connected by expressways, national highways, state highways. State Highway Hapur-Bulandshahr passes through the eastern boundary of Greater Noida Phase-2 area.
The proposed Upper Ganga Canal Expressway Sanota Bridge will start from Bulandshahr and reach Purkaji Muzaffarnagar before the border of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This will also ease traffic in Greater Noida Phase-2.
Framework for Systematic Development
In the Master Plan 2041 prepared by the government, major cities of the state like Lucknow, Kanpur, Noida and Greater Noida as well as rural areas have been included in the mainstream of development.
The Lucknow-Kanpur Industrial Corridor project will not only create new employment opportunities but will also strengthen housing, logistics and transportation.
The region is being made globally competitive through the expansion of Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway area, Film City, Airport and hi-tech townships.
Attention will be given to agriculture and green areas. No construction zone and green belt scheme have also been included for environmental protection.
Work will be done to connect the new city to the Noida International Airport under construction near Jewar, Metro, proposed Greater Noida Terminal at Bodaki, Multi Modal Transport Hub, Multi Modal Logistics Hub.
Preparations are underway to extend a 130 meter wide road to YIDA City to enable people to reach Noida Airport without any hindrance. This road is currently built till the roundabout of Sirsa village in Greater Noida.
According to the Greater Noida Authority official, a new city will be built in Phase-2 as part of the expansion of Greater Noida. A total of 144 villages from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Hapur and Ghaziabad will be included in this.
It will be developed on 33,715.22 hectares of land. According to the plan, Greater Noida Phase-2 will be connected to Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, National Highway-91, National Highway-34 and National Highway-24.
It will also connect to the proposed Ganga Expressway, North South and East West Corridor. This will make access to the city easier. Ganga Expressway (Meerut to Prayagraj) is adjacent to the eastern border. This will improve the regional transport system of Greater Noida with the eastern parts of the state.
