Expansion of expressway network

UPEIDA Expressway Industrial Development Authority has started preparations to build 9 new expressways in Lucknow. Regarding these plans, UPEIDA has prepared a blueprint of the proposal related to expressway construction.

Rajdhani Lucknow Link Expressway, Jewar Link Expressway, Farrukhabad Link Expressway, Vindhya Expressway, Chitrakoot Rewa Link Expressway, Meerut and Haridwar Link Expressway, Gorakhpur Siliguri Expressway and Gorakhpur Shamli Expressway, all these expressways have been included.

The total length of all these expressways has been fixed at around 2096 km. It is estimated that a huge amount of about Rs 200 crore will be spent during the construction work.Hari Pratap Shahi, ACEO of UPDA, has said that out of the 9 proposed expressways, the construction of seven is sure to be done by UPDA.

Construction of Shamli Expressway in Gorakhpur district and Siliguri Expressway in Gorakhpur, its entire infrastructure will be prepared by the National Highways Authority of India.During this period, the construction work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Lucknow and Kanpur Expressway, Delhi Saharanpur Expressway, Ganga Expressway, Ballia Link Expressway, Chitrakoot Link Expressway has started.

Important step towards industrial development

The state government has planned to acquire land around the expressway which will be allotted for industrial use, this will not only improve transportation.But setting up of industries will also prove to be helpful in generating employment and promoting economic development.

These expressway projects will reduce travel time in Uttar Pradesh state and increase business activities. The possibility of industrial development and employment will increase immensely.

With this initiative, the UP government is now striving towards making the state a better state. This extensive expressway network will give a new dimension to the overall development pace in Uttar Pradesh and will give a rapid boost to the economy of the state.

Now after the completion of the expressway construction, the total length of the expressway in Uttar Pradesh is set to be around 4374 km. Along with this, the industrial development of the state will also get a boost.

At present, the work of operating Noida Greater Noida Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Agra and Lucknow Expressway and Meerut Delhi Expressway has started.
