The Basic Education Council has prolonged the summer holidays for classes because of the intense heat and wind in Uttar Pradesh. In order to protect the health and safety of the female students, the decision was made to extend this holiday.

All government and private schools up to class VIII will now be closed till June 30 after the state government of Uttar Pradesh extended the summer break for students up to class VIII by 15 days. Originally, the schools were scheduled to open on June 15.
Surendra Kumar Tiwari, the secretary of the Basic Education Council, gave all Basic Education Officers instructions on Friday, stating that this crucial decision was made in order to protect the pupils from the intense heat which, starting on June 16, requires teachers and staff to report to school according to the schedule.
The Secretary announced in a letter that council and approved schools will be on summer vacation from May 20 to June 15.Due to extreme heat and heat waves, students will not be in class until June 30 in order to complete their coursework. Students must now frequently attend class in order to complete their coursework as of July 1.
