With the aim to make public transport in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, environmentally friendly and more comfortable for passengers, an important agreement (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation and M/s RG Mobility.
Under this MoU, air-conditioned electric buses will be operated on a revenue sharing model. The Transport Corporation will charge an administrative fee of Rs 2.5 to Rs 2.7 per kilometer on these buses operated by RG Mobility.
State Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said that 50 electric AC buses will be run in the first phase.
These buses will operate on the following routes:-
Lucknow-Ayodhya route – 5 buses
Kanpur-Prayagraj route – 10 buses
Ayodhya-Varanasi route – 5 buses
Kanpur-Rae Bareli route – 15 buses
Kanpur-Lucknow route – 15 buses

Electric buses emit zero pollution, making this initiative beneficial for the environment. Passengers will get a quiet, comfortable and safe travel experience.
These buses will be equipped with the latest technology, ensuring both transparency and convenience in operations.The MoU was signed by Chief Principal Manager (Technical) on behalf of Transport Corporation and Sergei Aleksandrovich on behalf of RG Mobility.
Transport Corporation Managing Director Masoom Ali Sarwar, GM Anil Kumar, GM Amar Nath Sahay, and Advisor RN Verma were present on this occasion.
Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, Northern Railway has decided to give temporary stoppage to some major trains at Mohanlalganj railway station under Lucknow division till April 14.
One minute halt of these trains has been ensured:-

13006 Amritsar-Howrah Punjab Mail – 11:03 am
15073 Triveni Express – 6:47 am

A halt of one minute for all these trains has been ensured at Mohanlalganj station.
