The Transport Department of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to its citizens. Now people living in UP can avail many important services sitting at home without visiting offices for just Rs 30.The UP government has made 44 major transport services online. This will save people both time and effort.

These services will now be available digitally and citizens will only need the internet to do any work. Now anyone can apply for a driving license online. All the processes like driving test, uploading of documents and payment can be completed from home.
Now you will not have to visit the RTO office for services like getting a driving license, vehicle transfer or DL renewal. Along with this, you will not have to get trapped in the clutches of RTO brokers. This will easily save you from wasting thousands of rupees.The UP government has started a new facility to provide relief to the common people.
Under this, now 44 online services of RTO can be availed by paying a charge of just Rs 30 from any Common Service Center in the state.Now citizens will not need to go to the RTO office for the transfer of the vehicle.
They can apply online and complete the transfer process.According to ARTO Administration Alok Singh, earlier people used to contact middlemen due to lack of information, who used to charge many times more than the government fees, but now all this will end.Now every person will be able to apply easily by going to any Common Service Centre near his home.
Why is this step of UP government important
Applying for a vehicle permit and getting a fitness certificate has now become an easy and fast process. Now you can pay your vehicle tax online from the comfort of your home. This eliminates the need to stand in long queues and visit offices.
Many other services like vehicle inspection, pollution control certificate and other necessary certificates can also be obtained online. For these services, Rs 3 will have to be paid separately for scanning and Rs 2 for photo copy.
The entire process from application to payment of fees will be online.After paying a one-time user charge of Rs 30 for the service, only government fees will have to be paid. SBI gateway will be used for payment and all information will be sent directly to the applicant’s mobile number.
About 1.5 lakh Common Service Centers of the state have been linked to two portals of the Transport Department, Sarathi and Vahan.With this, people will not have to fall prey to the tricks of brokers present outside the RTO office. If your registration certificate or driving license is lost, then you can get its duplicate copy online.
This service is also now available online.Due to which it has become more convenient to follow and inspect traffic rules. On applying from the Common Service Center, the work will be completed within the stipulated time and the documents will be sent directly to the home address by post.
This will save people from having to visit the office again and again and will save both time and money. This initiative of the government will not only provide convenience to the people but will also help in curbing corruption to a great extent.Now the services of the Transport Department will be within the reach of every common citizen. Also, people will get the benefits without any hassle.
