Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has taken strict action against illegal encroachment on government land in Uttar Pradesh.Recently, the state government has started the process of identifying and demolishing big farmhouses and other illegal constructions built on government land worth more than Rs 100 crore.
Strict action on illegal encroachment
The Yogi government has taken several steps under the anti-land mafia campaign against illegal encroachments on government land. Under this campaign, illegal farm houses and other structures built on government land in various districts of the state have been identified and demolished.
The government has started a new initiative to ensure the safety of government land. Plaques are being installed on government lands in the district. These plaques will have complete details of the land. This initiative will clearly identify government land and help prevent illegal encroachment.
On Friday, the administration took a historic and bold action in the village Navipur of Atrauli tehsil of Aligarh. Here, large farm houses were running on about 2000 bigha land of the Gram Sabha on the banks of the Ganges.
The administration team has freed this government land worth 100 crores from the clutches of land mafias. A large part of this land is said to belong to the forest department.
Strict warning given to land mafia: After taking charge, when this matter came to the notice of Deputy District Magistrate Aman Ansari, he took it seriously and reached the spot himself with the team and took action.
The SDM made it clear that if in future anyone tries to occupy this land again, strict action will be taken against him. The team removed encroachment from the land: This entire action was led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Aman Ansari.
Along with him, Atrauli Circle Officer Sarjna Singh, Tehsildar Ram Gopal, Forest Department CO Dhananjay Singh, Deputy Tehsildar Mayank, Kanungo, Lekhpal, Dadon Police Station Head and CO Charra were present.
During the action, the encroachment was removed in the joint presence of the revenue department and the police team. The boundary of the land was marked by erecting pillars. Also, the land mafia was strictly warned not to encroach again.
New initiative to protect government land
The strongmen had built farm houses: The estimated price of this land located on the banks of the river Ganga is said to be around Rs 100 crore. This valuable land was illegally occupied by local strongmen for a long time.
Complaints have been raised about this in the area for years, but no effective action has been taken. The strongmen had surrounded these lands and built big farm houses.
This action has created panic among the land mafia of the area, while the local people have welcomed this step of the administration.People say that for the first time such a concrete step has been taken on such a large scale to save government land.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all urban bodies to identify illegal encroachments on public lands, parks, ponds, pools etc. located within their limits and order action on Sunday.
Along with this, it has been made mandatory to register information about these encroachments on the anti-land mafia portal. This strict action of the government reflects the protection of government land in the state and the policy of zero tolerance against land mafia.
These efforts of the government will control illegal encroachment on government properties and will ensure proper use of these lands to provide facilities to the general public.
